PURCHASING MANAGER
You must have successful experience in leading and managing a Purchasing/Contracts Department. Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise to confer with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability and delivery schedule. You will use your expertise to estimate values according to knowledge of market price and determine method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid. Your top-notch analytical skills will be used to select products for purchase by testing, observing or examining them; including scrutinizing vendor bids or proposals, negotiating for best costs as well as drawing up procurement contracts, administering the contracts and if necessary, terminate or renegotiate them. You must possess management and supervisory experience along with a strong and proven track record of improving work performance and productivity working alongside the estimating, production and contracts departments as well as senior management.
You should have 4-7 years of progressive experience in a management role in residential or commercial industry working on multiple residential or commercial projects exhibiting exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and control numerous projects. You must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Construction Management or equivalent. You must possess strong ability in using logic and analysis to identify the different approaches with the ability to combine information or specific remedies to form general rules or conclusions.
