PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT

You must have demonstrated skills in clearly communicating daily work assignments as well as comprehensive plan for project completion. Stay fully aware of construction schedules for the total project and maintain productivity and quality control in all areas. Maintain a close watch on materials, labor costs, and time to maximize cost control. Be thoroughly familiar with the project contract and administer the project accordingly through scheduling and process management. You must be thoroughly familiar with the required paperwork and computer programs and systems. Review cost reports and convey any recommendations for job changes, change orders or variances to the original estimate. Ensure that all change orders are properly executed. Provide appropriate motivation for subordinates by demonstrating positive leadership traits at all times.

You must have strong and thorough knowledge of construction techniques. Strong verbal communication skills; be able to write clearly; and effectively communicate our plan and sequence of activities to all subcontractors and material suppliers. Possess superior negotiations skills; be proactive in problem solving, anticipate situations and take care of them before they negatively impact the project. Possess leadership ability and basic computer skills. A four year college degree preferred; or combination of education and work experience of five or more years as a project superintendent.
