CONTRACT COORDINATOR
Assist in budget preparation for all phases of construction. Track contracts from original estimates to buyouts. Collect and compare bids. Review all submittals and approve when necessary. Keep up to date on estimates, contracts, job costs and subcontractor communications. Negotiate contracts with suppliers; evaluate bids and proposals and makes award decisions; review and interpret vendor contracts for accuracy and completeness. Manage contracts with suppliers to ensure supplier compliance; analyzes supplier change requests to existing contracts for accuracy and completeness. Facilitate the resolution of disputes with supplier or subcontractor to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. Coordinate the integration of new suppliers into the system.
Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a residential construction industry. Must possess strong skills in communication, negotiation, problem solving and decision making. Proficient in use of various computer software programs. Be able to operate with some degree of independence on specific projects to effect and determine the fulfillment of the construction contract requirements by the parties to the construction contract. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and approximately two years related experience in construction or contract work.
